Everybody’s Talking About Jamie LGBTQ Event

Thursday 25 March 2027 at 18:30
New Wimbledon Theatre, Wimbledon

About this event

Following a record-breaking three-year West End residency, two sold-out UK & Ireland Tours and Amazon Studios award-winning film, the smash-hit and critically acclaimed musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie RETURNS for the 10th Anniversary Tour with a brand-new song.

Jamie New is sixteen (Ashcon Rahmani) and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum (Rebecca Trehearn) and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight. This ‘Funny, outrageous, touching’ (Daily Telegraph), musical sensation is to be experienced by all the family and not to be missed!

With an original score of catchy pop tunes that will ‘blow the roof off the Theatre’ (Mail on Sunday) by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae (Doctor Who), this ‘Sparkling coming-of-age musical’ (The Times) will have everybody talking about Jamie for years to come.

Sixteen: the edge of possibility. Time to make your dreams come true.

Frequently asked questions

The social is the heart of what West End Outings is about, it’s where you meet the group, settle in and get into the swing of the day before curtain-up, so we always encourage you to come along. If you genuinely can’t make it, that’s fine. Just let us know and we’ll leave your ticket at the box office for you to collect before the show.

Yes, always. If you book together, we seat you together. You won’t be split up, so there’s no need to worry about ending up rows apart from whoever you’ve come with.

No. We book seats together in a block so the whole West End Outings party is seated as one group, rather than dotted around the theatre. It’s part of what makes the outing feel like an outing.

You won’t be given a specific seat number in advance, but you won’t be guessing either. Where we can, each event listing shows the rows we have on sale, and we add a seating plan so you can see exactly where our block of seats sits in the auditorium. You’ll get your actual ticket at the pre-show social on the day.

Contact us as soon as you know. Tickets are issued at the pre-show social for the majority of events, so if you’re arriving late and can’t make the meet-up, we need to know so we can make sure you still get your ticket and can get into the theatre. Communication is the key.

Tickets are non-refundable in most circumstances. If you can no longer attend, you have two options:

  1. Gift your ticket to a friend or family member. You can transfer your place to someone else – just make sure they’re aware of what’s involved in a West End Outings event so the experience runs smoothly for everyone.
  2. Let us know and we’ll try to seat-fill. If we can resell your seat, we’ll issue a credit to your account wallet, which you can put towards a future booking.

It’s important you contact us as soon as you know you can’t attend. Tickets are issued at the pre-show social, so knowing who’s coming matters.

Your ticket will be issued at the pre-show social by your host, not sent in advance unless it is a specific ticket only event. This is intentional – it’s part of how the group experience works and how we keep track of who’s attending. If you’re going to be late, it’s important to let us know in advance.

Meet-up locations vary by event. You’ll get the full details, including the specific bar or meeting point and what time to arrive, in the reminder email sent in the week before your event. If anything changes, we’ll contact you.

The social side is as much a part of the experience as the show itself. For West End theatre events, we usually meet around 90 minutes before the show at a nearby bar or pub. Your host will be there to welcome you, and you’ll have time to get a drink and get to know the other people going. Tickets are handed out before you head into the theatre, so you can keep the conversation going.

After the show, everyone meets outside the theatre for a group photo before heading off.

You’ll receive full details – meet-up time, location, what to expect – by email in the week before your event.

It depends on your membership tier:

  • Basic: No set limit (subject to availability). Tickets are at the standard WEO price, which is already below box office.
  • Single: One ticket at the additional member discount rate per event.
  • Joint: Up to two tickets at the additional member discount rate per event.
  • Family: Up to five tickets at the additional member discount rate per event.

If you need more discounted tickets than your tier allows, additional tickets can be purchased at the standard WEO price.
